these terms apply to your use of node_shift at nodeshift.click (the "service"), run by John McGuinness ("we", "us"). by using the service you agree to them. if you don't agree, please don't use it.
the service
node_shift is a puzzle game provided for fun. it is free to play. we may change, pause, or stop any part of the service at any time. if we add paid features, we will show their price and terms before you buy.
accounts
- you need to be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and the UK) to create an account.
- keep your password safe. you are responsible for activity on your account.
- give a real email address you control. we use it for sign-in and account emails, as described in the privacy policy.
fair play
scores are meant to reflect your own play. don't submit scores you didn't earn by playing, interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, overload it with automated requests, or try to access other people's accounts. we may remove scores or suspend accounts that break these rules.
your content
when you post a score, you let us store it and show it (for example, in best-score lists) as part of the service.
our content
the game, its puzzles, design, and code belong to John McGuinness. you may share your results and screenshots of the game. please don't copy or redistribute the puzzles or the game itself without permission.
disclaimers
the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that scores will never be lost. some places don't allow these exclusions, so they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
limitation of liability
to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, scores, or profits, arising from your use of the service. our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
ending your use
you can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy). we may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
changes to these terms
we may update these terms. we will change the date at the top of the page, and for significant changes we will also post a notice on the site and, if you have an account, email you before they take effect. continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado. if you live in the EEA or the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring claims in your local courts.
